There are few hotels in Tokata, m.in. because not too many tourists come here. Thanks to this, however, affordable prices are offered.

Hotels for undemanding

Topcam Hotel, przy Hatuniye Mosque, pink, two-story building. A really dingy little hotel. If someone decides to stay overnight, better not to look into the bathrooms in the corridor. Prices: one person – 4,5 USD, two – 7 USD, three – 8,5 USD.

Cheap hotels

Hotel Temar, Province So 10, north side of Cumhuriyet Alam, tel.: (356) 212 77 55, fax: (356) 212 23 68. Modest, but clean rooms with showers and TV. Prices: single room – 7 USD, double -10 USD, triple - $ 13.5. A place worth recommending due to the best prices in relation to the standard of rooms.

Pleven Hotel, Gazi Osman Paja Bulv. 83, near the historic Ali Pasa Hamami, tel.: (356) 214 22 07 the 212 88 56. A regular hotel with rooms with TV. Prices per night in a room with a shower: single room -10 USD, double -15 USD, triple – 20 USD, four-person – 25 USD, a night in a room without a bathroom costs a few dollars less.

Hotel Camllca, Gazi Osman Paja Buk. 86, not far from the Plevne hotel, but on the opposite side of the street, tel.: (356) 214 12 69. The price per night in a not very comfortable room without a shower is 5,5 USD per person, era (with breakfast) in a room with a shower costs money 9 USD.

Hotels of a higher standard

New Cinar Hotel 2, Gazi Osman Paja Buk, Is Bank So 2, near Tas Han, tel.: (356) 214 00 66, fax: (356) 21319 27. One of the better downtown hotels. Prices: one person-17 USD, two – 24 USD, three – 30 USD, four – 37 USD. Nice restaurant downstairs.

Gastronomy

Most of the eateries are, of course, concentrated on the main street – Gazi Osman Paja Bulv., but the cheapest ones can be found near the Hatuniye mosque.

Yesil Kose Steakhouse, Gazi Osman Paja Buk, Vakif Bank Charge 1, opposite the Plevne Hotel. Nice place serving basic locant dishes, but also a local variant of the kebab – slap kebab, that is lamb slices, eggplants, tomatoes and potatoes in the form of skewers, which is hung vertically above the firebox and thus baked. A portion of this specialty costs money 3 USD.

Mehtap Restaurant, under the Topcam Hotel. Eat at the cheapest eateries in town. Servings of approx. 1,4 USD.

Zehra Main Table, Republic Area, Latif Han 4, next to the Tokat Itimat office. A decent eatery with a pleasant experience, a bit colonial atmosphere. A two-course meal costs money 4-5 USD; Iskender kebab – 2 USD, a serving of rice (addition) – 0,7 USD. Of course, we will also eat Tokat kebap here.

Konak Cafe, at the house of Latifoglu Konagi. Nice cafe, where we not only drink cay and coffee, but we'll also burn the hookah.

Bathhouses

We have several baths in Tokata, and probably all of them are historic. Of course, the biggest attraction is swimming in the wonderful Tarihi Ali Pasa Hamami. A bath costs money here 2 USD, washing 1 USD, same as massage. Separate entrances for men and women. At the rear of the Taj Han stands the historic Pervane Hamami. Both ladies can take a bath in it, and gentlemen, and the pleasure costs the same, what in the Ali Paja bathhouse. It is no different in Pasa Hamami near Sulu Sok., ok. 300 m west of the Ali Pasha Mosque, but this place needs a major renovation. There is no reason to be surprised anyway, after all, it comes from 1. half. XV w.

Until recently, there was a tourist information office here, but due to the low popularity of the city among tourists, the facility was closed. Okolice Touch

Ballica Cave is located approx. 25 km west of Tokatu. Wanting to get there, we have to go by dolmus to the town of Pazar (1 USD, 30 min), and then catch a dolmus to Ballicakoy village or on foot (ok. 6 km southwest of Pazaru). Dolmus from Tokat to Pazar depart from a stop near the river, on the northeast side of Hatuniye Camii.

The cave has a total of seven levels, and one more beautiful than the other. Lots of stalactites and stalagmites, columns (stalagnaty), water pools, and even an underground lake – it all adds up to a great experience, what awaits us inside.
