Bathhouses

There are a lot of bathhouses in Trabzon – both the older ones, historic, and more modern. I think the most famous one is 8 Mast Tourist Hamami (Baths 8 Columns). It is the oldest shrine of this kind in the city, built in the 11th century. by Seldzuk architects. Its name comes from the columns supporting the dome. Today the bathhouse is renovated and as the inscription says, serves tourists. A bath costs money 2,5 USD, a komplet (with kese and massage) – 4,7 USD. We'll get there, going from the church of St.. Anne to the northwest. Another historic bathhouse is the Tarihi Iskender Pasa Hamami (Historic Iskender Pasha Baths) on the street parallel to Kahramanmaras Cad. The building was built in the 16th century., and the interior is as interesting as in the Direkli bathhouse. There is a fountain in the center of the main hall, in which the turtle is swimming. A bath costs money 3,5 USD. Another historic bathhouse is the Fatih Sultan Hamami from the 13th century. (near the Hacikasim Muhittin mosque), where does the bath cost 2,5 USD, and washing and massage as much Closest to the center is Meydani Hamami, situated at the eastern end of Uzun Sok. Prices similar to Iskender Pasa Hamami.
