Our next destination is the charming coastal town of Sinop, to which very rarely – if at all, there are direct buses from Amasya. Therefore, we must first get to Samsunu, to change there to the bus to Sinopu. We can get to Samsun by bus (frequent courses, 3,5 USD, 2,5 time.) or a much slower train (twice a day, 2 USD, 5 time.).

Samsun with approx. 350 thousand. inhabitants is the largest resort on the Black Sea coast, which does not have much to offer the tourist, although it is a city with ancient roots (ancient Amisos). Attractions – museum, mosques and the statue of Ataturk – can be counted on one hand. Town in the 15th century. completely destroyed by the Genoese, therefore, hardly any buildings from before that period have survived. After this event, the settlement functioned as a large fishing town with a small port, and a revival took place only during the Revolutionary War. Here 19 house 1919 r. young Mustafa Kemal Pasha landed, to take up the armed struggle for independence.

Buses from Samsun to Sinopu depart several times a day. If we didn't come to Samsunu by bus, but by train, to get to the otogar, we have to turn left after leaving the train station (on the east). Because it's a spot a bit, it would be good to take a dolmus running along the Ataturk Bulw Samsun is an important city in Turkey, therefore, many buses depart from here in different directions.
